I have been maintaining a forum for since year 2002 to facilitate discussions about the freeware that I published in this web site.

There are people who abused this forum over the time, firstly it was spammers that posted enormous amount of commericals. That makes me to force user to register in order to post a question. I know it is a hassle for good people who really wants to ask a question, but that was the best solution that I could figure out. It was then followed by hackers that hacked it. The forum has been hacked twice and the most recent one was in the evening of September 11,2006.

I am completely aware of the version of PhpBB that I was using are full of security holes, In order to maintain such a forum, I have to continue upgrading the application. Unfortunately, I didn't want to spend so much time in it. Thus, I decide to use Google Groups to facilitate all the discussion in the future so that I need not necessary to worry about security issues anymore.
