When IBM was still known as International Business Machines, computer was really only for business, in fact, real Big business, not mom and dad store down the street.

In the mid 70s when Bill Gates and Steve Jobs both inspired by a Minicomputer kit called Altair 8800, they founded Microsoft and Apple. That was the dawn of microcomputer computer era.

In the 90s, World Wide Web (better known as the web) was invented by Sir Tim Berners-Lee. First graphical web browser Mosaic were introduced by Jim Clark and Marc Andreessen, Mosaic was later renamed to Netscape Navigator was once nominated the infant stage world wide web.

As technology evolves, many things changed, in IT business, we are not to manage change but to live with change. That is the nature of I.T. business.

However, there is one thing that has not been changing. Software is still hand made.

Hence, who does it becomes very important. The difference between Good and Bad software is Design. Design to us is about how it should work and most importantly how well it works.

Some programmers claim their application works, unfortunately, sometimes "works" might not be good enough. If a application makes a user go through a 10 step to get one thing done, the user might end up giving up using it. Windows mobile 5 "works" as a mobile phone OS, but is it a good design compared to iOS or Android?

Many has complained and deeply disappointed over the software they received. Some software project just failed before it is delivered.

TY Ng has been designing and implementing business applications for more than a decade in the region. The official URL "rainforestnet.com" was many years a personal website of himself in which mainly shared his works freely over the Internet.

Javascript Date Time Picker is the best responded work and hence it is still being maintained to serve the community. In late 2010, TY Ng also authored a free HTML5 Tutorial in plain English, it is running live in www.html5tutorial.info.
